For print, avoid placing the QR code too small. Test the downloaded PDF on a phone and in the final layout.

This step creates the QR graphic from your settings and shows it in the PDF preview. After that, you can move it and embed it into the PDF.

How to add a QR code to a PDF

  1. Load a PDF from a URL or choose a PDF file.
  2. Create the QR code in the tool: choose link, text, WiFi, email, phone, WhatsApp, contact, location or event.
  3. Click Prepare QR code. This creates the QR graphic and displays it in the PDF preview.
  4. Drag the QR code to the desired position in the preview. The default is top right.
  5. Download the edited PDF and check it before sending or printing.

PDF QR code or QR code inside a PDF?

If you want to create a QR code for a PDF link, use PDF QR code. If the QR code should be placed directly inside an existing PDF, this is the right tool.

Note on PDF URLs

Some servers block direct browser access to PDF files. In that case, download the file and use the PDF upload option.
